Abstract

In an earlier source publication, I edited Bishop Ottokár Prohászka's article on the “numerus clausus” issue, which was written in 1924; but recently it has come to light that it was actually written in August 1920. (Four years later, it was republished in unchanged form, and I considered this to be the original.) This paper aims to correct this error and place it in the context of the process that led to the adoption of the Hungarian law restricting the participation of Jewish students in higher education.
