The conflicts between the canons of Esztergom, István Városi and the ecclesiastical commissioner of András Lázár lasted from the mid-1950s to the end of the sixties. Not only the personalities and lives of two people can be learned from the story, but also the opposite of the (party)state and the Catholic Church. The atheist, arrogant authority, which used all possible means to abolish the churches in order to achieve its goals, essentially religiosity opposed to the oppressed church which was forced into the churches. The example of István Városi draws attention to the fact that it was possible to stand up for the truth for the believer even in a situation forced to his knees.
