The study pays tribute to Máté Skarica, the Reformed pastor of Ráckeve, the closest student and colleague of István Szegedi Kis. It was prepared for the 450th anniversary of the preacher's birth, and it provides a review of the relevant literature on the subject and the period. In the biography of the preacher, in addition to the family tree and the family network, the study presents the contemporary history of Ráckeve, Skarica's relationship with Szegedi Kis, Skarica's peregrination, as well as his Reformed contacts and travels.
