Technical guides
The publication process for the Church History Review is as follows:
- Submission of the manuscript
- Selection of a professional proofreader
- Double-blind proofreading (the proofreader does not know whose work he/she is proofreading, nor does the author know who has proofread it)
- based on the reviewer's recommendations: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, recommendation by another journal or rejection
- after revision: either acceptance or another round of peer review
If the manuscript is accepted:
- Basic revision
- Linguistic proofreading
- Translations into English (by an English language specialist)
- the authors receive the edited version for proofreading
- Final editing (corrections)
- Electronic publication (the material is then sent to the printer)
- Start of DOI registration
- Entry of publications in the REAL repository (with assignment of authors)
- Entering publications in the MTMT database (with assignment of authors)
- As soon as the DOI registration is completed, the publications will be indexed by the international repositories
- Mailing of complimentary copies to authors (authors are asked to provide their postal address to which they would like to receive complimentary copies)
For the reasons mentioned above, authors are requested not to enter their publications in the REAL repository or in the MTMT in order to avoid duplicates and to ensure that the publications are entered in the databases in as complete a form as possible.
We are currently using 3.3.0-16, but there is no newer description in English yet.
